What We Do
We believe in the power of building homes for and with those who need them. We believe that by teaming up with families, volunteers, and donors, we can create thriving communities for generations to come. We are New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. And we believe in the power of home.
If you are willing to do the work, you can change your families’ lives for generations.

We want to help you own your own home.
We are now accepting applicants to our Homebuyer Program. Please call 504-609-3340 to start your application.

We can help repair your home.
Typical repairs include sheetrock, painting, carpentry, doors, windows, flooring, and minor plumbing or electrical repairs.

We are committed to long-term disaster recovery.
New Orleans Habitat has been a leader in disaster recovery work for 40 years. NOAHH was instrumental in recovery work after Hurricane Katrina, serving thousands of families through home repair, disaster relief, and rebuilding efforts, and has provided repair work after floods, tornadoes, and major storms.
Internships and Apprenticeships
Helping to provide better job opportunities to local youth.
Through hands-on learning opportunities, they gain valuable experience on build sites, which better prepares them for their future careers. Each intern is offered a paid internship that includes 12 weeks of training and construction experience to learn needed skills.
Weather any storm with disaster preparedness.
New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity began in 1983, and since then, our affiliate has been part of the recovery of the city and the surrounding parishes after hurricanes, floods, tornados, and more.
