Habitat Success Stories

Warren Family

My name is Deondra Warren and I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I attend Alcee Fortier High School in Uptown.
When Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, I evacuated to a shelter in San Antonio, TX with two of my three boys. My oldest son was with my Auntie who raised me. After living in San Antonio, we moved to Atlanta, GA for 8 months.
I have three boys. Rashad is 13, Dashawn is 11, and Jai is 8. They all attend Batiste Cultural Arts Academy at Live Oak School. They all enjoy art and drawing, and playing games on the computer. Dashawn wants to build cars someday. I enjoy shopping. When we hang out as a family we like to play Laser tag, go to the Audubon Zoo, and the Aquarium.
