Habitat Success Stories

Steward Family

My name is Latoure Steward, and I am a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. I was born and raised in the Uptown area. I am a 2002 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.
I am also a father to my five year old daughter Donesty Steward.

Becoming a homeowner has always been an important goal, and now that I am a part of New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, I have finally been able to reach it. Being a homeowner will not only make me happy, but it also assist me provide a safe and stable home for me and my daughter.

I enjoy meeting all the other homeowners at the worksites and helping them build their homes. It’s a great feeling helping someone else reach their goal of homeownership while working towards my own. I am very thankful for an organization such as NOAHH, for providing me with this opportunity.
