NOAHH now has paid entry-level internships and apprenticeships available. These programs teach construction skills to participants and help them get on a pathway to long-term employment and increased responsibility. In recent years, New Orleans Habitat has partnered with local schools and organizations including New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School, Harbor Freight, and Louisiana Green Corps to create these new programs out of a desire to hire from the community we serve. Interns and apprentices learn everything from framing skills to reading blueprints, as well as communication and leadership skills. This program is open to anyone. If you or someone you know are interested in being part of this program, please contact interns@habitat-nola.org.
