Last year alone, we had approximately 40,000 volunteers donating close to 700,000 hours of volunteer work! We hope that you will join us in our expanded mission of building 1500 homes in the next 5 years.
HOW TO REGISTER
New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity offers opportunities for you to help with all aspects of home building. Please follow the steps below to become a volunteer with us. (If you are a corporation or professional association, please contact our office directly before registering.)
Step 1: Please read through our Frequently Asked Questions.
Step 2: Check the Construction Calendar to see available volunteer opportunities. If you are signing up for a date less than two weeks prior, please contact our office directly before registering.
Step 3: Please register.
Individuals and Groups of 14 people or less Click here.
* Please designate one contact person for your group. This person will need to register and then Create a New Group. Groups of 15 or more Click here.
Step 4: Once you have registered and are logged in, schedule your date(s) on the Construction Calendar.
Step 5: Once you are scheduled please check your email. You will receive an email confirming that you have scheduled your date(s). If you signed up for the ReStore or Community Projects, all pertinent information will arrive in this email. If you signed up for a Habitat Home Build, we will be sending you an email at least one week prior to your work date(s) asking you to reconfirm your date(s) (and group number if you are in a group). Once you are reconfirmed, you will receive an email with your morning meeting place. If you do not receive an email from us, please email us.
GET PREPARED
Once you have registered and scheduled to volunteer, please check your email for additional instructions immediately after you schedule your date(s) and two weeks prior to your scheduled date(s). You must complete a Waiver and either bring it with you to the site or mail it in to our office.

What to Expect on the Construction Site
Safety Guidelines
Individual Waiver Form (Needed for every individual either not in a group, or under 18)
Group Volunteer Waiver Form (Needed for every group)
Community Service Log: Print this out and bring it with you when you volunteer to log your hours for any type of community service.
Contact your Embassy here in the U.S. if you are visiting from another country, for instructions on safe entry. Please also print out the confirmation email we send you for your records.
