The online calendar is available for January through August. There are a few weeks where we are currently booked with volunteers. Please email the [ volunteer coordinator ] to be put on a waiting list.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER

New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity offers opportunities for you to help with all aspects of home building. Please follow the steps below to become a volunteer with us. (If you are a corporation or professional association, please contact our office directly before registering.)

Step 1:

Step 2:
REQUIRED : All Volunteers must read our Safety Guidelines before registering to volunteer.

Step 3:
Check the Volunteer Calendar to see available volunteer opportunities. If you are signing up for a date less than two weeks prior, please contact our office directly before registering.

Step 4:

Volunteer Groups, will need to visit the group volunteers page for more information after you review the rest of this page.

Individuals, please visit our individual volunteers page for more information after you review the rest of this page.

Step 5:
You will receive an email confirming that you have scheduled your date(s). If you signed up for the ReStore or Community Projects, all pertinent information will arrive in this email. If you signed up for a Habitat worksite, you will receive an address for your work day two weeks out from your volunteer date.
