Habitat Success Stories

Martin Family

Let me introduce myself as Denisha Martin,  28 years old New Orleans lady. I have a son , Donte Martinwho is nine years old. We are both members of Household of Faith Church, in New Orleans East and my pastor serves in the board of NOAHH.   I am also a chef at the Moneteleone Hotel, in charge of cooking breakfast.  I have a degree in Culinary Arts and of course I love this job as my passion is cooking and working hard.

New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity has changed my life in so many different ways: 1. I had the opportunity to meet very wonderful people in the process of building my home, who also prayed for us; 2. I also had a chance to meet the staff at Habitat and 3. I learned a lot about building house, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity for giving me the opportunity of becoming a First Time Homebuyer in this city that I love!
