Overland-Volunteers-at-ReStore

When you volunteer at the Habitat ReStore, you help us give even more resources to support New Orleans Habitat for Humanity’s mission to eliminate poverty housing. Volunteers meet fun, engaging new people – including partner families who serve 100 hours in the ReStore – while helping the community to recycle.

Volunteers are a critical part of making the ReStore successful and creating a wonderful experience for our customers, donors and visitors. A typical volunteer day goes from 8:30 am to 5 pm and involves participating in one of many roles.

Our ReStore is a dynamic experience and consists of many different activities, including assisting customers, unloading the donation truck, picking up donations, refurbishing furniture, designing retail displays, DIY/upcycling projects and more!

You can also be a Core Volunteer in the ReStore! To be a core volunteer, you must volunteer at the ReStore at least twice a month. Your support is crucial to the success of the ReStore, and you will form lasting friendships with partner families, staff, and other volunteers!
