Through the execution of our mission, to build safe, decent, affordable homes, NOAHH has also realized the need to expand its affect on communities by rallying volunteers to complete neighborhood revitalization projects. During Spring Break 2012, NOAHH held its first "Fun Fridays: Attacking the Block" clean-up days where on Fridays, volunteers were treated to lunch by a
Build Up An Appetite partner and then instead of returning to help construct a home, they fanned out in key areas to help clean-up the neighborhood by collecting trash, clearing overgrowth on public walkways, clearing storm drains, and installing energy efficient light bulbs.
