Why New Orleans Habitat?
When you make a donation to New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, your gift not only impacts the family, but a whole community. 95% of that gift goes directly to home ownership programs and services. Each donation that builds a Habitat home multiples each year as the homeowner mortgage payments get recycled to build more affordable houses.
Discover ways your congregation, corporation, youth group or school can partner with New Orleans Habitat. Our partners have helped make a difference in our work through product donations, financial support, and by mobilizing volunteers.

Donations are the lifeblood of New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. Every donation – no matter how large or small – is significant. If your belief in a stronger New Orleans led you to donate your time, please consider doubling your impact through financial giving. There are many ways to give: you can donate online, set up recurring giving of just a few dollars each month, give as a gift or in memorial of someone who loved this community as much as you do – it’s even tax deductible. Plus, many companies have programs that will match every dollar you give, sometimes even double or triple.

Sponsor a Home
Contributing to the construction of a quality, affordable home is one of the most tangible investments that an individual, family or organization can make in our community.
New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity partner families benefit in many ways from the financial support of sponsorships, and we know that you, your family or your organization will be enriched by the experience of supporting a hard working, low-income family in the construction of a new home or the preservation of their existing home.
Companies benefit from the opportunity to involved their employees in positive team-building activities. They also enjoy increased visibility in the community and a boost in employee morale. Partner congregations benefit from the opportunity to put their faith in action. The experience creates fellowship in a positive, team-building situation. Many organizations gain a better understanding of affordable housing issues and are inspired to take action. In addition to these intrinsic benefits, Habitat also strives to offer meaningful sponsor recognition as described below. Please take a moment to reflect on the value of these experiences for your group.
