New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity is building new single-family homes through the use of NSP 1 funds.  In the implementation of these projects the following jobs may be available: electrical, plumbing, site-prep, foundation and piling work, sheetrock, flooring, etc.

To the greatest extent feasible, potential employment and training positions will be made available to low-and very low-income persons who permanently reside in New Orleans.  Names of qualified low-income persons will be made available to contractors.  Persons qualified for the jobs listed should forward, no later than Jan. 20, 2012, a resume to Habitatnsp@habitat-nola.org or to:

Additionally, the following contracts and procurements will be made to the greatest extent feasible to businesses located in New Orleans which currently employ or commit to employing local low-and very low income persons:  foundation work, insulation, sheetrock and tape and bed installation services, flooring, electrical installation, plumbing installation, HVAC installation services, and site prep and building materials, including roofing, hardi-siding, windows and doors, lumber and paint.
