Over the last several years, NOAHH has been able to build hundreds of safe, affordable homes for hard working partner families with the help of over 118,000 volunteers. Volunteers are the basis for the NOAHH program, making it possible to provide our homeowners with a no-interest mortgage and low monthly payments.
Over the last seven years, NOAHH has had over 33,000 volunteers from colleges and high schools, mostly coming during spring or winter break. Church groups have contributed over 23,000 volunteers, especially RHINO, a local organization that has consistently volunteered and contributed especially to the building in the Carrollton area. Another 21,000 have come with their work place or professional organizations, coming down for conferences or on their own.
And a special thanks goes out to our core volunteers, who come work on site regularly, month after month. Their continued support and growing expertise has been a boon to our construction staff over the years, helping us accommodate volunteers and build more homes.
So to every volunteer, be they from church groups or on alternative spring break, down here on their own or here with family, taking time away from a conference or on a work retreat, a local or a voluntourist, building homes or helping in the ReStore, a core volunteer or someone who just came once, NOAHH thanks you for everything you've made possible!
