On Thursday, September 20, over 200 volunteers from AARP partnered with New Orleans Habitat for Humanity to work on ten different homes in the Hollygrove Neighborhood of New Orleans! The volunteers were here for the AARP Life @ 50+ conference in New Orleans, and participated in the  “New Orleans Re-imagined Volunteer Day” where they worked with several local non-profits.  AARP Volunteers worked on homes as part of NOAHH’s A Brush With Kindness program painting, landscaping, and mixing cement.

AARP President Rob Romasco, NFL star Dan Marino of the Miami Dolphins and sportscaster James Brown of NFL Today! visited with the volunteers at NOAHH's worksites.  Marino, the “Men’s Life Ambassador” and Brown, the “Community Ambassador” for AARP, worked side by side with the volunteers and later addressed the conference along with other celebrities and motivational figures.

NOAHH is appreciative that so many AARP members spent their day of service making a difference in the New Orleans community!
